- ➤ Waterloo Community Schools are adding metal detectors at Memorial Stadium for the Wahawks game against Marshalltown starting tonight to boost safety for students and fans. The district also reminded fans that the clear bag policy remains in effect and that elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult. KWWL

- ➤ Waterloo Columbus scored 21 points in the final 5 minutes and 37 seconds of the second quarter to beat Aplington-Parkersburg 28—20 and tie for first in 1A District 4 with Hudson. The win kept the Sailors in a strong spot this season. KWWL
