- ➤ Nestlé announced it will cut approximately 16,000 jobs globally over the next two years—most cuts will affect white-collar positions while 4,000 roles in manufacturing and supply chain are also heading for reduction and it remains unclear if local jobs at the Waverly plant will be impacted. - ➤ An international food tasting event will be held on November 2 and attendees will try dishes from India, Bosnia, Pakistan, Mexico, Poland and Romania + the event aims to bring global flavors to the local community. Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ MercyOne, in partnership with Black Hawk County Public Health’s Care for Yourself program, is offering Free Mammo Nights today in Cedar Falls from 2 to 7 p.m. for women 40 and older facing cost barriers; a final session will be held on November 6 at the Waterloo Breast Center (appointments required at 319-292-2225). - ➤ AJ Green, a Cedar Falls native and former UNI guard, signed a four-year, $45 million extension with the Milwaukee Bucks as confirmed Thursday by ProMondo Sports + ESPN. He will remain with the team through the 2029-30 season and begin the next season on Oct. 22 against the Wizards. KWWL
