- ➤ Community members gathered at Lincoln Park on Sunday for Homeless Persons Memorial Day to remember those who died while experiencing homelessness. Organized by Hospitality House and Waterloo Catholic Faith Formation, the vigil ended with a moment of silence and a free warm meal at the Cedar Valley Warming Center. KWWL
- ➤ Rydell Auto Group and House of Hope donated fully inspected, pre-owned vehicles with extra gifts to two local families for safer travels during the holiday season. The families also received gift cards for oil changes and groceries from Fareway. KWWL
- ➤ Flora, a six-month-old Doberman-Pinscher mix, is seeking a new home at Cedar Bend Humane Society during the holiday adoption special. She arrived on Nov. 1 after her mother and sister were adopted and is now available as part of the shelter's special rates for dogs and cats. KWWL
