- ➤ Evansdale police clarified that social media claims about a bus driver and monitor involved with an alcohol purchase at a local gas station are inaccurate since the driver stayed on the bus and no laws were broken; both employees are on administrative leave while the investigation continues. - ➤ Black Hawk County Gaming Association has awarded nearly $1.3 million in eight grants, including $1 million to Hawkeye Community College for Butler Hall renovations and support for projects at Allen Memorial Hospital, La Porte City Library, and the City of Sumner—boosting local services. KWWL
