Bambino's Bakery in Waterloo marked Giving Tuesday with a $21,000 donation to the local Beyond Pink TEAM, a group that helps women with breast cancer cover costs like transportation and financial support.
Owner Donna O’Brien started the bakery’s charitable work after her own treatment and now runs two storefronts.

UNI women’s basketball beat Illinois State 68-54 in their first MVC contest in Cedar Falls, boosting the team’s league record to 1-0.

Waterloo native Chris Klieman stepped down as Kansas State head coach after seven seasons with the Wildcats & a 54-34 record this year.
The coach, a Columbus and UNI graduate, leaves with six years remaining on a contract paying over $5 million annually.
