Veridian Credit Union donated $50,000 to five nonprofits on Giving Tuesday as part of its Veridian Gives Back campaign, with each group receiving $10,000 in Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
The funds support affordable housing, basic human needs, inclusion, employment readiness + financial literacy.
The Friends of the Grout Historic Homes announced the ‘Christmas at Russell Square’ event will be held Saturday at the Rensselaer Russell House Museum and Snowden House—where visitors can see festive holiday decorations and displays.
Veridian Credit Union announced its Giving Tuesday donations totaling $50,000 & contributed $10,000 to Iowa Jobs for America's Graduates to support local workforce efforts.
A snow storm forced organizers to cancel most of Home for the Holidays—only the Mayor’s Tree was lit in a last-minute ceremony that launched the local holiday season today.
ITC Midwest donated $20,000 to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank to help fight hunger this holiday season — the donation will support food programs for local families.
🎭 Culture
Hickory Hills will open its annual drive-through holiday light show on Dec.
5th and it will run from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for the weekends of Dec. 5th, Dec. 12th, and Dec. 19th. Local residents can drive through to see festive lights and enjoy the season.

Snow removal begins Wednesday night in downtown Waterloo—officials require that all vehicles on downtown streets be moved and free parking is available in downtown ramps until 7 a.m. Thursday.
