- ➤ Steve Carignan will retire as executive director of the UNI Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in January 2026 after more than 26 years of leadership that transformed the venue into a top arts space—UNI will begin a national search for his successor soon. KWWL

- ➤ The Gladbrook-Reinbeck School District bond measure passed by 17 votes survived a recount in Tama, Grundy, Black Hawk, and Marshall counties — all of which confirmed the original election night results.
