- ➤ The Salvation Army Angel Trees program has returned to Cedar Valley to help over 700 local children in need. Local partners will accept unwrapped gift donations of $25—$40 per child at participating locations until December 3 and at the Waterloo office until December 5. KWWL

- ➤ Cedar Bend Humane Society announced that Starburst, a three-year-old tortoiseshell cat known for her bold personality and gentle ways, is now available for adoption. Interested locals can contact the shelter to learn more about giving her a forever home—she is spayed and vaccinated. KWWL
