  • Local volunteers will hold a weekend food drive to support the Northeast Iowa Food Bank as food assistance need grows after SNAP cuts. Donations of nonperishable foods and paper products will be accepted on Saturday at Walmart locations in Waterloo and Cedar Falls and on Sunday at local churches—items will be delivered to the food bank on Monday.  KWWL
  • Today, Target donated $10,000 to Tate’s Army Foundation in Cedar Falls to help teach families mower safety — a boost that will expand outreach efforts — as the group works to prevent accidents. The foundation was started after toddler Tate was injured by a lawn mower in 2018 — his family now uses the funds to educate others — and it aims to reduce future injuries.  KWWL
