- ➤ Operation Christmas Child is inviting eastern Iowans to pack shoebox gifts for children in Ukraine. Mariya Tatarin, whose gift changed her life, will speak at Cedar Rapids’ Christian Store at 2 p.m. & encourage families to donate from November 17th through 24th. KCRG
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Don Bosco (61-0) beat Janesville (1-3) and improved their record to 2-1 while head coach Colby Yoder earned his 150th win. KWWL
- ➤ Dubuque Hempstead, now 2-1, took control in the second half to beat Waterloo West, now 2-1, 42-32—marking West High’s first loss of the season and Hempstead’s first win of the year. KWWL
- ➤ Devon Blanchard ran for 4 TDs and threw for another as Nashua-Plainfield beat Central Springs 35-6 Friday night—holding the opponent to 213 yards and 3 interceptions. The Huskies will begin district play at N. Butler next week while Central Springs returns home to host Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. KWWL
