  • Former Waterloo police officer Keaton Northrup will stand trial on January 13 for two counts of vehicular homicide linked to a June 2024 motorcycle crash on Interstate 380 that killed his girlfriend, Jenna Mills—he is accused of driving over 100 miles per hour with a blood alcohol level of .292 and resigned from the force in June after being charged.  KWWL

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Cedar Ridge Christian School has moved to the old Cedar Falls High School building with a $2.8 million relocation and is preparing to serve 400 students, including 90 new ones, as it gets ready for the new academic year. Principal Ryan Hall said nearly 100 projects will further upgrade the campus before classes begin on August 25th—seniors feel both excited and nervous about the fresh start.  KWWL
