John Deere announced layoffs affecting 238 workers across three factories—115 in East Moline with a last work date on August 29, 52 in Moline set for September 26, and 71 in Waterloo scheduled to end on September 19.
The company said the cuts come as a result of lower order volumes due to a struggling ag economy.
