Kevin Dill Family Fund granted over $117K to local nonprofits since 2022—supporting veterans, those with dementia or Parkinson's, and their caregivers.

The fund awarded $48,600 at its fourth annual golf tournament in June to 10 organizations including Cedar Valley Hospice, and Kevin Dill remains committed to aiding the community.

Clayton County Sheriff's Office and Medical Examiner's Office identified the body of Neven Soknic, a 41-year-old man from Waterloo reported missing on July 9 and found in the Mississippi River north of the Cassville ferry landing on July 12—investigators do not suspect foul play and await toxicology results.

Mayor Quentin Hart announced his bid for a sixth term in Waterloo to keep growth and improve services with more parks, roads, and Waterloo Fiber (the city’s largest municipally owned network).

He pointed to ending a 30-year consent decree and a record $304 million permit value as wins in his time in office (he is the first African American mayor).

The seventh ranked Cedar Falls Tigers with a 30—9 record beat City High 7—6 in a 5A Regional Final to earn their first berth to the State Softball Tournament—rallying from a 3—0 deficit with key innings in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.
