- ➤ The Courier hosted its 2025 Eight Over 80 banquet at the Diamond Event Center in Cedar Falls on Tuesday to honor eight local residents who built their careers in the Cedar Valley. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird said on Thursday that Iowa will receive up to $5.4 million in opioid settlement funds from a $720 million agreement with eight opioid makers+ the funds will go toward fighting opioid addiction. Globe Gazette
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Iowa HHS announced on June 30 that the state's Integrated Health Home program will end on Dec. 31—transitioning care coordination to the new Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic model that will serve all residents. Local providers worry the abrupt change may disrupt support for families, while a public comment period remains open until 4:30 p.m. on July 30. Globe Gazette
