EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Northern Iowa will offer in-state tuition to new undergraduate students from Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota + Wisconsin starting this fall, with rates set at $10,201 for the 2025-26 year to save families over $12,000 compared to nonresident fees. UNI’s Neighboring State Rate aims to attract talented students and meet regional job market needs. KWWL

- ➤ The Waterloo Community Foundation partnered with Sailor Nation Baseball and Softball to secure the Galloway Park ball diamond on Stratford Avenue as the new home field for youth baseball, softball and football teams. The facility will serve athletes from Cedar Valley Catholic Schools and St. Patrick’s School — Sailor Nation will renovate and manage the field while community donations support the project. KWWL
