- ➤ The Salvation Army of Waterloo/Cedar Falls is asking for donations of 12-inch multi-purpose pedestal fans and 20-inch box fans to help families without air conditioning beat the summer heat—donations can be dropped off at 89 Franklin Street in Waterloo during regular business hours. KWWL
- ➤ Downtown Waterloo hosted the first stop of the 58-year-old Great Race as over 120 rare and vintage cars lined Commercial Street. Organizers said the race will continue with participants staying in Moline Sunday night (it will finish in South Carolina in one week). KWWL
