- ➤ Police say a man allegedly threatened a utility worker and later set a utility pole on fire at 616 Ash Street in Waterloo on Monday—he then barricaded himself in a residence and surrendered after several hours of Tactical Unit negotiations. KWWL

- ➤ Hawkeye Community College has introduced a new Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration for working adults.
