- ➤ On Thursday the old Waterloo Candy Co. building along West Park Avenue partially fell in downtown Waterloo and no one was hurt, with officials telling people to stay 60 feet away while owner Rich Penn will decide whether to fix or demolish the structure—the staging area for My Waterloo Days has been slightly moved.
