- ➤ Hope City Church's plan to move into a closed bank building on West Fifth Street was denied by the planning and zoning commission early this week because the space did not match the city’s master plan for residential development; church leaders said the decision now moves to the Board of Adjustment. - ➤ Waterloo City Council will approve a non-binding letter of intent with McDonald's USA for the potential sale of four city-owned parcels on Commercial Street across from Young Arena. McDonald's will have 180 days for due diligence to complete property surveys and inspections. KWWL
