  • Waterloo’s Walgreens store at 3910 University Ave (charged with failing to maintain controlled substance records) will face a board hearing on Sept 24 while a Pennsylvania-based CVS/Caremark provider (faced with similar violations) will have a hearing on June 25.  Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier

  • Waterloo’s 11th Street Bridge reopened Friday—its sidewalk remains closed until railings are installed by July—and Black Hawk Street between 11th and 12th stays closed for construction.  KWWL
  • Iowa GOP lawmakers reached an agreement with Gov. Kim Reynolds on Thursday for a state budget of $9.43 billion starting July 1 that exceeds current spending by 5.6% and relies on surplus funds to cover a nearly $917 million gap + the plan boosts funding for paraprofessionals, community colleges, and nursing home support.  Globe Gazette
