- ➤ UNI named Anne Lefter as the new executive director for the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls. She will start on July 1 + she previously directed a center at Western Illinois University. KWWL

- ➤ Gas prices jumped 20 cents overnight in Waterloo as residents face higher fuel costs linked to the ongoing war with Iran, and the average price for regular gas reached $4.14 a gallon. Drivers are adjusting their budgets+ switching vehicles to save money on fuel. KWWL
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Northern Iowa is using its Innovative Teaching (and) Technology Center to train future nurses, providing hands-on experience to build local healthcare skills.
