- ➤ Waterloo business owner Dan Corbett died at 48 after battling cancer and suffering cardiac arrest. Memorial services are held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Locke at Tower Park—followed by a celebration at Fester's Pub while both restaurants use adjusted hours as the community honors his legacy. KWWL

- ➤ Iowa House lawmakers passed House File 969, which expands cancer coverage for emergency responders (firefighters, EMS and law enforcement) and it now goes to Governor Kim Reynolds. The bill also revises retirement system contribution rates to help finance the expanded benefits. Globe Gazette
