- ➤ Cedar Bend Humane Society closed its Paws Pantry until May (caring for 436 animals) after a surge in intake. Several local businesses now host drop-off sites for food and litter donations, and if the drive succeeds the pantry will reopen in June. KWWL
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Waterloo Schools Board of Education is set to hold a meeting Monday at 5 p.m. at the Education Service Center to review budget certification and consider a proposal for Waterloo United High School to join the Mississippi Valley Conference. The athletic change would begin in the 2028-29 school year. KWWL
