  • A person died and another was charged in a fatal shooting in Waterloo as bystanders briefly held the shooter—he then broke free and ran off.  Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier
  • A man was shot and killed late Wednesday night along Newell Ave+ near Ryder Logistics as officers were dispatched at 10:00, found him outside a building, and took him to a hospital where he later died, with authorities saying the public is not in danger.  KWWL
  • When Rebecca Taylor suffered a fatal heart attack from an assault on November 30 at her Oelson Road home, her boyfriend Lamarcus Williams blocked police from entering—he is now on trial for second-degree murder.  Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier
