- ➤ Six soldiers (including Sgt. Declan Coady and Maj. Jeffrey O'Brien) died last weekend in Kuwait while serving with the 103rd Sustainment Command, and Iowa’s military community is grieving their loss. No public memorial arrangements have been scheduled. KWWL
- ➤ Some Cedar Valley residents said Black Hawk Waste Disposal has not picked up their trash since January, causing delays that led some to use alternate services while the company acknowledged the issues and promised to improve communication. KWWL

- ➤ Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds said Thursday that the loss of two soldiers in Kuwait is devastating and that nine others were injured following an attack by a suspected Iranian drone. She added that she will attend the transfer ceremony when the soldiers return to the United States. KCRG
