- ➤ A new sporting facility, CourtWorks, is under construction in downtown Waterloo and will open early 2027. It will feature eight full-size basketball courts + transform into 16 volleyball courts, drawing about 150,000 to 175,000 visitors and boosting local businesses with at least $17 million in spending.
