State Board of Education approved new K-12 social studies standards that update lessons on government differences, key historical events, and human growth for grades 5-12 + incorporate public feedback including a call to explicitly address antisemitism within Holocaust studies.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s Urban Agriculture Program will host a water access forum for urban farming on March 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Black Hawk County office in Waterloo (lunch is provided and registration is required for the 30-participant event).
