- ➤ Monday, the Iowa Department of Education said nearly 99% of full-time teacher spots were filled this school year due to higher pay and better training in the state (special education still shows the largest gap with 184 vacancies). KCRG
- ➤ Iowa has joined the federal school choice tax credit program that gives a dollar-for-dollar tax credit match (up to $1,700) to eligible taxpayers who support approved scholarship organizations. Globe Gazette

- ➤ A new solar farm development will cover over 700 acres of farmland at Waterloo Regional Airport with solar panels. The project will come under a signed development agreement and is set to boost local renewable energy efforts. Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier
